Journal of Applied Engineering Sciences is the official journal of Faculty of Construction, Cadastre and Architecture from Oradea, Romania. The abbreviation for Journal of Applied Engineering Sciences is JAES.

JAES is a multidisciplinary journal which focuses on all aspects of Civil Engineering. It is a technical journal published biannual by the Faculty of Construction, Cadastre and Architecture (Oradea, Romania). The journal publishes original papers within the broad field of civil engineering which include, but are not limited to, the following: Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Highway Engineering, Information Technology, Railroad Engineering, Structural Engineering, Surveying and Geo-Spatial Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Tunnel Engineering, Water Engineering.

Theoretical papers, practice-oriented papers including case studies, state-of-the-art reviews are all welcomed and encouraged for the advance of science and technology in civil engineering.

     Journal of Applied Engineering Sciences (JAES) is a double-blind peer-reviewed, electronic and printed journal that publishes original, high-quality research on topics broadly related to Civil Engineering and Geodesy. The journal focuses on theoretical and application papers with especial attention to young scientists. The journal appears bi-yearly in May and December. There is no article submission charges but a publication fee is introduced at 150 EUR, to be paid after the paper has been accepted for publication. There is no waiver policy in place.

ournal of Applied Engineering Sciences (JAES) is a scientifical journal devoted to presentation and discussion of information on the ultimate issues in the civil, installations, geodesic, electrical and energetical engineering fields. The journal addresses news and various problems which such fields confronts both national and international level. JAES is designed for scientists, researchers (including doctoral students), engineers and managers, regardless of their discipline, who are involved in scientific, technical or other issues related in the journal domains. Emphasis is placed on integrated approaches. These approaches require both technical and nontechnical factors. Even the dissemination and application of innovative information is very important, the implementation of existing literature in the JAES related topics and the adress’s contributions also requires a clear understanding from as many other scientific areas as possible. 
The publication of an article in a peer reviewed journal is an essential model for our journal "Journal of Applied Engineering Sciences".
It is necessary to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer and the publisher.

The first number of the magazine JOURNAL OF APPLIED ENGINEERING SCIENCES (JAES) was published in 1997 under the name of Annals of University of Oradea – CONSTRUCTIONS AND HYDROEDILITARY INSTALLATIONS fascicle. Until 2010 the magazine has been issued annually. Since 2003 the magazine has been publishing scientific works presented within the National Conference – international event – MODERN TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE 3rd MILLENIUM, where valuable specialists have met, both from the major university centres in the country and world-renowned professors from universities from abroad. The national and international prestige of the magazine has been constantly increasing.
